Blue Marble

This is a nation-building simulation on a full generated planet. You land with thirty settlers, and you are the one person among them who never dies. Generations pass under you while you turn a camp into towns, towns into a kingdom, and a kingdom into whatever you want it to be.

Every person in the world is simulated. They choose their own work, marry, raise families, hold opinions of you and die of old age or hunger. The economy, the food supply, the laws and the faith of your people all come out of those lives, so you steer the realm instead of placing every building.

You rule through people. Name a second in command and give orders in your own words, and your government carries them out, from planning farmland and raising taxes to starting a war. Your council argues with you, governors can turn on you, and people who fear you may still refuse.

Beyond your borders are tribes, rival nations and cities to conquer, and the borders move with every city that falls. How you rule is up to you, whether that’s as a builder, a merchant or a tyrant, and the realm remembers it.

The game includes dark themes, shown as stylised pixel art with no gore: slavery, torture and executions, carried out on your orders.

Windows only. First launch downloads a 5.2 GB language model, and you can’t play until it finishes. After that, no internet is needed.\
